INTERNATIONAL NEW APOSTOLIC CHURCH

THE NEW APOSTOLIC CHURCH IN THE  WORLD

 New Apostolic Church – Brazil

Circular Nº 52/2007

Brasilia, August 30th, 2007.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This circular is aimed at everybody and is in direct relation to the Thanksgiving Day in Brazil and Bolivia, this year on the 7th October.

We share this day only once a year, but the thankfulness to our beloved God should not be expressed only once a year.  Thankfulness is a virtue we like to share with God for all we receive or not from Him, visible or invisible to our eyes. Thus we thank daily and many times a day, even in difficult moments. But, this special Thanksgiving Day does not replace the daily thankfulness, but it fully completes it.

That is the reason why I want to invite you, together with the Chief Apostle and the other competent Apostles, to fill with joy the heart of our beloved Lord and express this additional thankfulness from the deepest of our soul, offering until your hearts become happy.

I want also inform you what was visibly done with the help received up to the present.
In Bolivia, we could help the people from Beni Department, in the city of Trinidad and Ballirián, where we lost the community after the devastating floods.  The total number of brothers and sisters affected by this situation are more than a hundred. They were assisted and now they are back in their newly built or refurbished houses.

The detail is as follows:

  • 9 new houses.
  • 3 partially refurbished houses
  • Full construction of Ballivián Church.
  • Purchase of mattresses, beds and other articles to fulfill basic needs.

In Cochabamba, we are refurbishing the Jaihuaico Church, because of the poor state of its premises.

In Santa Cruz, we help the effort of some brothers in the building of a small church for the community of San Luis.

In Brazil, we went on with the refurbishing plans 2006-2007, where we have already made painting and maintenance work in 82 churches.

We have also opened three new communities:

  • Rio das Pedras (new premises)
  • Foz do Iguaçu.
  • Pindamonhangaba
  • Parque da Barragem
  • Mossoró

As you can see, if your thankfulness is demonstrated through time for work, money for the sacrifice and testimony of the apostolic doctrine to spread the faith, we can grow and in this way offer a better help to the children of God.
We wish you, together with the Apostles and the Bishops, a blessing Divine Service for Thanksgiving.

Yours faithfully,
Guillermo Vilor
Distric Apostle

Thanksgiving day in the Nordeast

In the regional Church of Brazil,  the Thanksgiving day 2005 has a special event with the reopening of the “Drum Church” in Campina Grande, second city in the State of Paraiba.

The District Apostle Guillermo Vilor, together with the Apostle Raúl Montes de Oca and the Bishop José Genival responsible of this state, reopened a newly refurbished church.

There were 143 people (65 were invited) who seated and heard  the sermon attentively.

The Bishopric’s Choir together with the Children’s  Choir made honour to this Divine Service.

During this Divine Service 5 faithful people received the Holy Spirit, one of them was the mason in charge of the refurbishing.

The Apostle’s trip had started the Friday before, September 30th., when they departed from their native countries Brazil and Uruguay. They arrived to Campina Grande after a stop in San Pablo and Recife.

On Monday morning, the Apostles and the Bishop went on to Caruarú, in the interior of Pernambuco,  center district composed by seven new apostolic communities. They had also time to visit  a scale replica of the city of Jerusalem, in the surroundings of Nueva Jerusalem.  In this tourist center, the surrounding wall and every one of the buildings and palaces, are exact replica of the original built in one-third scale.

The Divine Service was conducted in the Church of Agrestina, near Caruarú, on Tuesday 4th. 110 souls assisted and 9 were sealed.

The following day, 5th Wednesday October, the long return trip started.  It was not only the return home, but also an extra stay of 15 more days in San Pablo for the Annual Conference of the Church in Brazil.
