HISTORY OF THE NEW APOSTOLIC CHURCH IN SAN PABLO-BRAZIL
1928 The District Elder Joseph Koller, made the
first reunion in Brazil, in the neighbourhood of Santana/SP, with the
blessing of the Chief Apostle Niehaus, with the new apostolic members from
Germany that emigrated to Brazil in 1924/5 and settled down in many towns
of Great San Pablo.
The
District Elder Joseph Koller was in contact by letters with the Apostle
Schall and with the Bishop Krφner and with the blessing of these Servants
of God, he published an announcement in the newspaper to be able to find
other members to start the meeting, and so it happened.
It was the beginning of the work of God with the administration of
the District Elder Joseph Koller.
1930
The Apostle Schlapoff Helper to Chief Apostle Bischoff started his
visits to Brazil. Weekly
Divine Services were made in the Great San Pablo, and all the members that
were being localized were assisted, many of them from the suburbs of San
Pablo and other states of Brazil. The attention and spiritual orientation
were given by the Chief Apostle and the Apostles, and so was the
accounting of the Church properties.
1949
- Joseph Koller passed away
06/09/1949. The District
Elder Otto Sernatinger became the new administrator for the spiritual and
material properties with the same spirit of obedience and communion with
the beloved Apostles, connected to the Chief Apostle as the District Elder
Koller used to do and striving for keeping the communion of the Children
of God. The elder Sernatinger
coordinated the tasks among the Ministerial Charges and the District Elder
Francisco Hopp did the translations of the Divine Services with the
Apostles from German to Portuguese, and also of the Words of Life for the
Servants in Portuguese and the special circular letters from the Chief
Apostle.
The
young Heinz Sernatinger helped not only with the translations but also
with the administrative tasks.
1961
Due to the aggravation of the illness of Bishop Otto Sernatinger, the
District Apostle Federico Lewitus, who was entitled for Brazil at that
moment, gave the responsibility of the administrative tasks to the
District Elder Benedicto Beber.
1969
The District Apostle A.A.C. Marton was designated and he coordinated
the spiritual and material work for Brazil.
1972
- The Distric Elder Heinz
Sernatinger, son of the former Bishop Otto Sernatinger, was instituted and
began with the direction of the spiritual area of Brazil with the help of
the District Evangelist Ewaldo
Riese.
1981
- After the death of the
District Elder Heinz Sernatinger, the District Evangelist Ewaldo Riese
became the manager for the Brazil District, with the supervision of the
District Apostle Bianchi, el Apostle Fiore and the Bishop Demetrio from
Argentina.
1993
Due to the illness of the District
Elder Ewaldo Riese, the District Evangelist Renato Walter Flatschart
assumed the responsibilities of
the District of South Brazil working
together with the District Apostle Mario Fiore and with the help of
the Apostle Vilor.
2003
With the blessing of the Chief Apostle Richard Fehr both areas, North
and South of Brazil, were unified originating the New Apostolic Church of
Brazil. On June 23rd, 2002, the first Apostle of District
Guillermo Vilor was named, from Argentina to all the country. This solemn
act happened during the Divine Service in the Central Church of Brasilia
Federal District. At
present, the apostles that constitute the group of direct helpers to the
District Apostle Guillermo Vilor are the Apostle Caleri and the Apostle
Aires from Brazil and the Apostles Milioto and Montes de Oca from Uruguay.
